This course includes a teaching award included free of cost in this course, called the Planning and Delivering Learning Sessions to Groups (PDLSG). The PDLSG teaching award will allow you to teach accredited awards. This award is for all persons who wish to teach and assess accredited First Aid at Work Courses, to the current HSE and Skills for Health standards. The teaching award can be used to teach other shorter courses. This First Aid Trainer Course is recognized by UK Awarding. Instead of the valid FAW certificate candidates can also hold current MOD certificate or be a qualified Nurse or current FPOS Intermediate. Please note the First Aid at Work, need to stay current as soon as this expires you can no longer teach, assess or IQA any first aid courses.

After you complete this accredited trainers course, the first day and first unit is the same for all other 2 or 3 day trainer courses.  You will therefore be exempt from day 1 of further trainer courses. For example the Manual Handling Trainer, instead of 2 days you would only need to complete 1 day as well as get 20 percent off the cost of the course.
